Is yo' a big fan o' Li'l Abner Ellis?

Oh yeah. People 10 years younger than I am have no idea how big Lil Abner was. I may watch the musical today. I think it's on Netflix streaming. I also have the DVD

Funny you should post this because just a couple of nights ago I showed my wife a YouTube clip from the movie. The part where Julie Newmar, as "Stupefyin'" Jones, is introduced to Jerry Lewis, and Jerry is... well... STUPEFIED! I searched for Li'l Abner on Netflix after that and no luck. They don't have it.

No. They don't have it streaming. The Dvd is great. I guess Stubby Kaye got his part in Cat Ballou because of his great work as Marryin' Sam.
They really should have Sadie Hawkins day. Bachelors should be condemned to married life.

Mammy Yokum's first role apparently. Went on to fame as Witchie Poo.

Think how big Jerry Lewis was at the time he came on for the cameo. Would have been a huge crowd pleaser.

I'd pay to see you in a Sadie Hawkin's Day race, Ellis. I'd sho' 'nuff love to see you caught and married up!

It'd be awesome. Any woman that would burn the calories you'd know without question she wanted you. Wanted to share kickapoo joy juice just with you.
